Gotu kola (Centella asiatica) is known as the "herb of longevity" a beneficial herb in the parsley family that has a long history of use in traditional Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine. It has many benefits including containing certain chemicals that seem to decrease swelling and blood pressure. It also seems to increase collagen production, making it a great herb to consider for wound healing.
The plant is believed by herbal practitioners to boost brainpower and cognitive function, heal skin issues, and promote liver and kidney health. It's used traditionally to strengthen hair and stimulate hair growth, possibly by increasing blood circulation to the scalp.
Dried gotu kola leaf can be made into a tea by adding 1 teaspoon to about 2/3 cup (150 ml) of boiling water and allowing it to steep for ten to fifteen minutes.

It felt like opening a gift- love and care (including a thank you card) started at the lovely packaging. When I opened the bag, the fragrance that bloomed up announced its potency proudly. While thoroughly dried, the leaves are whole, green and intact, which I have literally never seen before. My standard for dried herbs has just leveled way, way up!
